But, Fall, yes. Crisp days with rustling leaves. Beautiful colors that blaze in the light of November sunsets. The wisp of fragrance from chimney smoke drifting on the wind. The joyful shout of childrens' voices jumping in leaf piles.
Yeah, it eventually leads to the most dreaded of times - winter in New England. But for now? I'll take it.

Just gorgeous! I especially love the "leaf hat". : )
I love fall color but we really don't get much of a show here - however we also don't get snow in November or really cold winters :-)
Love the photos
I'm at work right now but I'd much rather be dumping leaves on my head.
I would rather be dumping leaves on Captain Dumbass.
I love Fall...all the colors. Just never seems to last very long before everything is brown and dead and...blah.
LOVE New England fall.
(Nice for crisp brisk walks ;)
I love the second image. The colors are gorgeous - the red/orange against the bright blue...
I dread winter as well. It's begun in the Pacific Northwest. Gray. Gray and more gray. With snow.
Gorgeous pictures.
Fall is my favorite, too. It lasts about two weeks where we live, before the trees are bare and we hunker down for months of rain. But, man, I love looking at the gorgeous leaves on our oak trees. (Raking them up? Not so much.)
sooo refreshing!!!
