One of the reasons I would miss New England
Autumn. Or Fall, if you prefer. I know some people don't like this time of year since it's the beginning of the end as far as seasons go. (And New England winters are definitely a reason I would not miss New England.) But how could you not be blown away by these colors?

I agree - how could you NOT love those colors? I do! I've never lived in New England, but I sure love to visit! Gorgeous pictures!
I usually love Fall...But it lasts about 12 minutes and then it's winter - with the 10 below, and the snow, and the ice, and the three coats and the MAMA I HAVE TO PEE. So...I'll just be a bitch until Summer gets back.
Our maple trees in our backyard turned a brilliant red that I loved to look out the back window every morning to see. Then a few days after they fully turned, we got a windy week, and now they're bare. Kind of sad because it makes winter seem so much closer than I want it to be (even though, at the moment, we're enjoying temps in the mid-60s and I hope they hold on a bit longer).

That lone dead tree is awesome. We have some pretty colours here too, but only for as long as the rain holds out. Then it falls on those leaves like a truck.

Out here, even the ice and snow are missed.
I know it gets tediuos in the dead of winter, but I've always envied your winters.
(Even when I was in NY because it hardly snows in the city any more!)
